On his first solo album, „Acoustic Impulse,“ Gillmann presents not only his own compositions but also arrangements of works by Piazzolla, Edith Piaf and Richard Galliano. The band, consisting of piano, accordion, double bass, and drums, is joined on some tracks by the virtuoso Gypsy guitarist Joscho Stephan. A perfect acoustic blend brimming with exuberant joy.
This atmospherically rich music ranges from beautiful, dreamy melodies to wild, energetic, dynamic passages and demonstrates genre-crossing creativity. A cohesive crossover production with the best of different worlds and a brilliant sound.
