About the album
Christine Corvisier decided to refresh and reinvent the world’s famous chansons of her Childhood (from Aznavour, Piaf etc) through her arrangements with a total new modern jazz aspect. The aesthetic and concept of the band are based on a natural acoustic sound with plenty of room for improvisation and highlighting the solo qualities of all the musicians.
In each solo, they maintain creativity through interaction, which often took them in unexpected directions and atmospheres .Christine Corvisier added some of her own compositions to get a more personal touch, singed as well and played a lot of other wind instruments for the production.! Sebastian Scobel (piano), Martin Schulte (guitar), David Andres (Bass) and Silvio Morger (drums) are a perfect match together and offer us a very refreshing and melodic musical journey through this album.
