About the album

„Lune de jour“ – the new jazz album by the saxophonist and composer François de Ribaupierre in a trio format. With « Lune de Jour «, François de Ribaupierre presents his most recent compositions in an acoustic duo and trio setting. Thanks to the transparent instrumentation, with only the accompaniment of double bass (Volker Heinze) and guitar (Rolf Marx), the music gains a special intimacy, in which the lyrics and the imagination of all musicians are in the foreground in a very detailed sound. With tenor saxophone, clarinet or soprano saxophone, François de Ribaupierre gives each piece its own poetic landscape – sometimes swinging, euphoric, sometimes longing and melancholic. The atmospheric diversity of the pieces leaves the artists free space for their original discoveries in a world under moonlight during the day.
